Non-Award Study
Applications for Semester 2 2008 are now closed.
Students wishing to apply for Non-Award study in Semester 1 2009 should contact the Centre for Open Education in August 2008.
Students wishing to move into a degree course from non-award study in Semester 1 2009 should apply through the Universities Admissions Centre in August 2008.
Non-award enrolment is available in undergraduate units on a tuition-fee-paying basis. Students enrol in one or more University units (subjects), undertaking a study load at a pace that suits their needs.
Enrolment at the University in single units is named non-award because a student is not currently enrolled for an award, that is, a degree, diploma or certificate program at Macquarie University. The credit-point value of Non-award units successfully completed can be included in a Macquarie degree..
The completion of 12 credit points at Macquarie University on a non-award basis whilst maintaining an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 (Pass Average) or better are automatically eligible for selection to the
- Bachelor of Arts
- Bachelor of Science or
- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education)
The completion of 12 credit points at Macquarie University on a non-award basis whilst maintaining an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or better are automatically eligible for selection to the
- Bachelor of Arts - Psychology
- Bachelor of Science - Psychology
Students cannot enter any other Macquarie undergraduate degrees through the Non-Award program. However it is possible to transfer to other degree programs after attainment of specific progress requirements.
