Graduate Certficate/Diploma in Information Technology

Eligibility
Candidates for these programs must have a Bachelor degree in any discipline from an Australian university (or equivalent) with a GPA of 2.50 out of 4.00. Candidates are advised that the course material assumes that they will understand basic mathematical concepts, be able to apply logical abstraction to practical problems and be familiar with using computers and common office software, including installing and configuring new applications. Candidates who do not have a Bachelor degree but who do have substantial (minimum 3 years) professional employment experience in Information Technology or Computing may still be eligible for entry.

Course Information
- To qualify for the Graduate Certificate a candidate must obtain an aggregate of at least 16 credit points comprising: ITEC100, ITEC101 plus 8 credit points in ITEC electives including 4 credit points at 200-level or higher.
- To qualify for the Graduate Diploma a candidate must obtain an aggregate of at least 32 credit points in Information Technology units with a code of ITEC including: ITEC100, ITEC101, ITEC102, ITEC200, ITEC300, plus 8 credit points at 200-level or above and 4 credit points at either 300-level or 800-level.
Documentation Required
Macquarie University requires you to provide either an original official academic transcript, or a certified copy of the original with your application. If you do not provide this information, your application will not be considered.
Documents can be certified at the Student Enquiry Service. You are required to bring with you the original document(s) and photocopies of the document(s). Documents may also be certified by a Justice of the Peace.If you have studied at Macquarie University previously, we will access your Macquarie University results directly.
