NEW STUDENTS
Welcome to Macquarie University. This web page provides the necessary
admission information and procedures for students who have been offered a
place at Macquarie University.

Accepting Offers - Students who have
been made an offer to study at Macquarie University should follow certain
procedures to officially accept their offer into Macquarie University.

Enrolments for New Students - New undergraduate students must attend and enrol in person.
All new local undergraduate students, with the exception of
distance education students, should complete their enrolment in accordance
with the schedule.

Credit for Previous Studies - Credit for Previous
Studies (formerly called Advanced Standing) is credit given in the form of
Macquarie credit points for recognised tertiary- level studies undertaken at
other institutions.

Deferment of New Students - New students are only permitted to defer for first semester of each year (no second semester deferments).
