Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education

This program has been designed for the professional development of students seeking to further their studies in early childhood education.
Eligibility
Candidates will need to hold a three or four year degree or diploma in early childhood teaching or a Bachelor of Arts with a major in early childhood.
Applications are competitive and quotas apply.
Application Procedures

Students should note the following regarding lodging your application:
- Students wishing to have an acknowledgement of their applications should include a stamped self-addressed envelop with their posted application forms.
- You will need to provide an official academic transcript or JP certified copy from each institution, other than Macquarie University, you have attended. This should show all subjects taken, grades obtained (including failure grades) and the stage reached or qualification gained. A collection of examination result slips is not an acceptable substitute for an official transcript. If you have been enrolled in a tertiary institution in 2007 you must forward your 2007 examination results as soon as they become available. A certified translation of any documents not in English must also be supplied
- Any formal change of name requires supporting documentation (certified photocopies).
- Due to the quantity of applications received via fax, staff will be unable to verify whether your fax has been received. Please do not ring to request confirmation that your fax has been received. (see below).
- Faxed application forms will only be considered if the original application form with appropriate certified attachments is received within seven (7) days. Students wishing to have an acknowledgement of applications should include a stamped self-addressed envelop with their posted application forms.
- Under no circumstances will applications sent by email be accepted.
- You must provide a short statement indicating why you wish to enrol in this program and provide any other information which you consider to be relevant to this application
Course Information
- There are three stream available. Candidates should note that only 2 of the streams are teaching qualifications.
- 1.5 Year full-time program.
- Most units are offered via correspondence.
